Topic: 1 Aspie Sensibility – tact

Hello all, thank you for following, remember that this place is also yours.

Today we are going to chat on topic 1: that is the sensibility that is present in the asperger’s syndrome.

Probably you already had seen or heard about this specifical topic, which is typical enough for aspies.

I am asperger diagnosed and suffer from physical hypersensitivity, this means that my senses are very awake at all time, in some more that in others but they are alert enough in general all the time.

I will mention below some personal info about it, i hope this can help you all feel more included or eagered to seek professional help if you find it necessary.

1.-Labels – none of my clothes own their original labels, be trousers, vests, underwear, coats, pajamas etc. I do not like to be the whole day with the itching that it produces me. I have managed to wear nee clothes and in the middle of the event, ask someone for help to cut the label.

2.-oily textures with water – do not ask me why, simply it feels bad.

  1. Thick wool
  2. Dirt
  3. Moisturizers in general.
  4. Perfume or fragrances – any smell gives me nasal itchiness and sicknesses, even if nearby someone is using the above mentioned lotion.
  5. Very waisted clothes
  6. Nylon stockings
  7. My skin is 50 times more sensitive after the shaving
  8. Clothes that release many fluff
  9. My hands always are dry because I do not tolerate substances on them.

12.sanitary pads, yep a torture.

  1. Creams or sprays in the hair
  2. Too tight scrunchies in the hair.
  3. I need to brush carefully my hair because it hurts me very badly.
  4. Kisses of Dogs
  5. Kisses of people

In end, thousand things seem to be problematic for me, even to feel very often the skin of someone else. like people in the public transport or having sat down in a sofa with a really close person. My sense of tact is hypersensitive and I look for ways to relax when these things happen. My father has slight tints of asperger so I imitate many routines that he realizes because they work for me and make me feel more comfortable, soon I expect to do a list of tips that function well for me.

One of these routines for example is to take a bath and putting on my pajamas again, i know it is dirty, but its because my skin after the bath is Ultra sensitive, so i cannot stand different textures in my skin until my skin dries off again completely. I do not like to leave remains of creams in my clean clothes so i almost never use these products.
